This app is perfect for my college use. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having trouble getting the app to execute my output code before my code prompts me to input like its supposed to do.
Up front - I bought the paid version to support the project, so Im putting my money where my mouth is. Pros: 1) OFFLINE compiler and runtime environment 2) I save a lot of weight for class. I love coding on the iPad with a Logitech micro keyboard! Cons: 1) LOTS of crashes on iOS9. Like, heaps of them. Save often. Save before compiling. Save before running. IF you try a few times, it will compile and run. Once the program is running, there are no more crashes. As for the editing itself, I havent had any crashes. Sometimes it also crashes while opening a project. Note: This is on a fresh boot [iPad mini 3] with no other apps running. 2) Im not sure if the app is trying to be helpful or what, but sometimes the cursor jumps around in the line of code while typing. Keeps me alert, thats for sure. 3) Even though Im using an external keyboard, I still only get the screen real-estate as if I had the virtual keyboard pulled up. Which I dont, so its big white block. Sometimes, cycling the bluetooth keyboard fixes this. Every other app works perfectly. Pleas note that I *love* this app, and support yall wholeheartedly, Im just pointing out some stuff that desperately needs fixing!!! TO THOSE THINKING ABOUT GETTING THIS APP: It works. Get it. Just be sure to save your works every few minutes just in case, and especially before compiling! Currently, about half the time it crashes while compiling, and then you restart it and it works perfectly. Fun times! XD
I hope that they update it all the time if there is any thing new
Please add the ability to have several files active. Also, can this install apps?
All in all its a great app. That being said the free version is completely useless, until the pay wall is removed or you choose to buy it I would suggest staying away from this app. If you buy it youre basically throwing money away because its not powerful enough to do any thing aside from little things like a hangman game to play on your lunch break. And lets be real no sane person would try to do any thing big on a phone or a tablet etc.. Point is its in no way worth any amount of money.
This app is a great way to work on iOS, and its free, but it has a few problems. Sometimes, highlighting or identations are delayed, and lines of code go to the next line. Otherwise, it works great.
Wish it had landscape and you didnt need to pay for all the features like compiling more than 3 times
Ive been looking for an app like this for several months. Im glad to found one that could reach my needs. I think it still need improvements, but the app has a potential. Congrats to developers!!!
If you write code, you know youre not always by your computer. This app is so cool for writing and executing code. I really like this app, now I can write code every where. It supports C and C++... But C++ is the UNIVERSAL language:
very wonderful and perfect and thanks but compile is too slow and premium version is expensive
Crashes when I try and compile the examples.
Its got a good amount of functions, loops, and conditionals already, but this compiler would really benefit from the use of the iostream file (#include <iostream>). Same with namespace std. For me, it is almost impossible to use the old nomenclature, as I am used to the iostream convention. Still, best compiler I could find, with an amazing console.
The app frequently crashes when compiling or running. When I tried running example projects it did not crash. Please improve the stability of this app.
Code will never compile when I edit anything. Examples will compile, but if I put even a space in the output then it says compiling, and never stops compiling.
This is my personal favorite coding app
First let me say that this is probably the best Keyboard Ive seen for programmers. I love it. Probably the best C++ IDE Ive seen in terms of usability. However, Ive just been programming on a bus all day. This crashes about 50% of the time it starts to compile. I cannot count the number of times it has crashed in just a day of use. Ive lost about an hour total of work, 5 mins here and 10 mins there, just from random crashes! Its not even optimized for an iPhone 6 yet! The iPhone 6 has been out for a year! Now for the worst part: the text input is the worst Ive ever seen. A 5 year old could do better. It randomly capitalizes letters, and you have to backspace and turn it off, then WAIT for it to turn back on. The cursor jumps back to a previous spot without fail! The fix it that you move it, watch it jump back then move it back to where you want it. This is outrageous. Ive probably spend a good 10% of my time fixing the cursor and the capitalization. If the developer actually made this app better, I might give him $8.00. But he doesnt deserve $8.00. The amount of bugs are outrageous. Please fix it.
I gave it three stars because it *could* be a great editor. For example, the toolbar above of the keyboard is a wonderful and well executed idea making it easier to edit code on a touchscreen. Unfortunately there are a few things that essentially render it useless. 1. The cursor will randomly jump one or two places foward or back just as you are about to type. Especially after brackets or parenthesis. Your text will be full of tyosp... ypost... typos. 2. The free version has a limited amount of compiles. Being asked to upgrade so often, for now added functionality (just a removed annoyance) is really just depressing - especially considering it is still so buggy. You have to close and restart the app to continue compiling. 3.I wish it were easier to just press run and have the app automatically recompile. One can dream...
It is good for the most part, I just wish it was faster at compiling.
Not compatible with iPhone 4s anymore. Even with the latest iOS.
